Velcro Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback

From Everything.Sucks

Velcro is a privately-held company, founded by Swiss electric engineer George de Mestral in the 1950s, that produces fasteners and other products. It is known for being the original manufacturer of hook-and-loop fasteners.

Velcro management at work has poor skills, low payment, and rude staff, an ex Quality Control Technician shared his experience at

"I would never go back to Velcro. This place is a real sweatshop with low pay. Management has poor skills. Every day is drama and yelling. I would not recommend working there. Management talks badly about other employees to there staff. They talk poorly about there boss to other employees."

Tooling Assembler / Manufacturing (Former Employee) says

"Human resources cater to nothing. Lackluster supervisors control. If a supervisor takes a personal issue with you, consider yourself out of a job. STAY AWAY..."

Sales (Former Employee) says

"Cultural and innovative stagnation has reached a pinnacle internally. Potential loss of branding from outside the country could be a portion of this decline. If the storm is weathered there could be a great long term potential in the company again."

Quality Control Technician (Current Employee) says

"I would never go back to Velcro. This place is a real sweat shop with low pay. Management has poor skill. Everyday is drama and yelling. I would not recommend working there. Management talks bad about other employee to there staff. They talk poorly about there boss to other employee. Humresour"

Sales Representative (Current Employee) says

"Your boss will tell you you're doing great then talk poorly about you behind your back. Her boss does the same to her and so on and so forth. Then one day you will be walked out. I expect it to happen to me any day now. In a time honored Velcro tradition, It will happen before you get your commission. Comp. plan is a joke they can't even tell you how they calculate your pay. Women are paid less then men for the same job. I know because my former colleague was a man and he told me what he made and I make $5k less for the same work! All of management is in total disrepair with no real path forward this place is doomed for failure. They almost closed in 2018 so I expect this dinosaur to go extinct in 2020. If you want a real life "THE OFFICE" experience with real MICHAEL SCOTT'S of the world go work for Velcro. This place is full of Michael Scott's. Everyone is standing around basically waiting for the doors to close. Put it this way. They have the sales supervisor (doesn't do anything besides go to meetings and listen to music like a total introvert all day) reports to the customer service manager. That's like telling HR they need to report to Marketing. One example of the insanity that is Velcro. Consider yourself WARNED!"
